When to Get a Reading?

I recieved an amazing astrological report from Nancy at a time when I was experiencing an identity crisis. My life was all questions, no answers. I was depressed, stifled and uninspired. After recieving Nancy's report, I felt revived. Something in my spirit was reawakened. I understood how the experiences I've had were neccessary in shaping who I am so that I have the tools to be that which I aspire towards. The report gave me new insight into my self and to the hidden influences affecting my current state of mind. I was able to get in line with the underlying energy and use it in my favor instead of feeling burdened by it. With this new sense of empowerment, I moved across the country, signed up for school and am following my life long dreams. I recommend Nancy's report to anyone that is in need of revitalization and answers!

Scond Saturn Return Reading

10.09.2006

Nancy, I have been involved with astrology for over 40 years, have had 4 different teachers and know what I need to learn. Your reading yesterday was and is brilliant; Liz Greene did a chart for this year and 2 other astrologers, with little understanding of the 2nd Saturn return [emphasis mine]. It is like you know it, are not afraid of it and assisted me in embracing it.

You have an uncanny ability to see from a larger perspective so you do not get lost in the trees as you are able to sense the forest I am going through..absolutely brilliant.

It makes perfect sense , very logical the way you shared it. For the past 10 years I have been fascinated with the nodes and find no astrologers that really discuss them.

From my point of view your understanding and brilliance of astrology, particularly the nodes and Saturn return deserves to be shared in a book. Maybe it is time, you have your e-books so with a little magic and a wave of the wand, it is there.

Poet Kay Ryan's First and Second Saturn Returns

Kay Ryan is an American poet whose life beautifully illustrates winning cooperation with the two most important astrology transits, the first and second Saturn Returns. The first Saturn Return comes (for all of us) between 28-30. This tremendously important transits asks us to find our authentic selves and give ourselves second birth so to speak, to leave our parents again, consciously this time, and their expectations, and begin to lead our own lives. If we succeed at this very arduous task, the second Saturn Return between 58-60 years old brings tremendous rewards.

Work hard at Saturn tasks and Saturn always delivers. The converse is also true; perhaps this is why many people die at around 60. I write these articles to help you get in the first group with Kay Ryan.

You are not reading this by chance.

Kay Ryan was born in 1945. At around 30, her first Saturn Return, she took time off for long bicycle ride in order to “find herself”. She was right on schedule with the task at hand. Everyone should do this between 28-30! Something about the pedaling, pedaling, pedaling reminded her of poetry. She had an epiphany, as many do at 30, and decided to devote her life to writing poetry.

Ryan took a job in the teaching field where she could work just two days a week and pay the bills. In order to live like this, she stripped her life down to the bare minimum.

For the next 30 years she wrote and wrote. Nothing much happened and she did not seem to ask for much to happen.

When she was around 60 someone gave a book of her poetry to someone that mattered in the literary world and soon Ryan’s work appeared in The New Yorker. Thus the second Saturn Return was positive payback time. Ryan had worked diligently at her authentic task and the reward was bound to come. Thirty years seems like a long time but Saturn wants us to focux on what is really important to us between 30 and 60, not what someone else wants. These are our mature, serious years when we bear the yoke and pull the plow. The harvest comes at 60.

Since Ryan’s breaks began at 60, according to poets.org, her poems and essays have appeared in The New Yorker, The Atlantic, Poetry, The Yale Review, Paris Review, The American Scholar, The Threepenny Review, and Parnassus, among other journals and anthologies. She was named to the “It List” by Entertainment Weekly and one of her poems has been permanently installed at New York’s Central Park Zoo. Ryan was elected a Chancellor of The Academy of American Poets in 2006.

Since l971, the time of her first Saturn Return, Ryan has lived in Marin County in California.

My favorite Kay Ryan poem:
Too much rain
Loosens trees.
In the hills giant oaks
Fall upon their knees.
You can touch parts
You have no right to –
Places only birds
Should fly to.

Use Kay Ryan’s life as a classic example of how to win with Saturn Returns #1 and #2.

Lord Browne is Having as Bad a Saturn Return as OJ

It’s been a bad year for British Lords and Businessmen. Earlier this year Edmund John Philip Browne, Baron Browne of Madingley, aka Lord Browne, approached his second Saturn Return (payback time). As it sometimes does at Saturn Return, his life began to unravel. Within months his brilliant career was over, his reputation besmirched because of a homosexual scandal, and he may have lost a $3 billion retirement package as well.

It would seem Lord Browne is having the Mother of all second Saturn Returns.

Let’s look at Browne’s chart and put these unfortunate events in the context of Saturn Return.

Beginning at the beginning, which is a very good place to start, Browne’s father was a British army officer. His mother was a Hungarian survivor of Auschwitz. Browne worked for the same company his father did, British Petroleum or BP, for 41 years, the last 11 at the head, as CEO. BP is a publicly held company with shareholders and the CEO is constrained to protect others’ investment by keeping costs down and running the company prudently. Browne did an outstanding job. He also promoted green ideas and made the noble declaration that the right of self determination was crucial to people all over the world.

For the last four years, Browne had a homosexual affair with one Jeff Chevalier from Canada, a lad he met on “Suited and Booted,” a gay website. Browne is in much of the trouble he’s in because he later lied to a judge and said he met Chevalier jogging in the park. He also accused Chevalier of substance abuse and instability. He will probably not be prosecuted for perjury but the judge gave him a scathing condemnation.

When the affair with Chevalier ended, the young “escort” threatened to publish the details of his affair with Browne. It was also alleged that Browne abused company assets and resources by, among other things, giving Chevalier a BP laptop, letting him use the company plane and hand delivering him cash via a BP employee. It is illegal to use resources of a publicly held company for personal pleasure or to squander the assets frivolously. Were this Browne’s own company, he could have done whatever he wanted.

In his resignation statement made in May (2007), Lord Browne commented: "In my 41 years with BP, I have kept my private life separate from my business life. I have always regarded my sexuality as a personal matter, to be kept private. It is a matter of deep disappointment that a newspaper group has now decided that

allegations about my personal life should be made public."
Browne’s public life is ruined. He has already resigned from some other boards and positions. He may lose his pension. The rosy projects that usually await a man of his stature and reputation will be withheld. He is expected to “do a Profumo,” referring to the British minister caught in a sex scandal who devoted the rest of his life to public charities and eventually re-earned the respect of his peers.

Let’s take a look at Lord Browne’s chart. Gemini, Aquarius and Uranus are energies prominent in the charts of many gay men, often affecting the Moon which represents the mother. These energies can indicate a promiscuous lifestyle, a Peter Pan attitude, and thrill seeking high risk emotional behavior. Until very recently, getting “outed” could ruin careers or result in blackmail and extortion. I don’t think we would believe such a thing possible in the 21st century, a full 18 months after Elton John’s marriage, but Browne conducted his life like a man of the past century—living a lie -- and set himself up for the classic denouement that gay men everywhere used to have to fear. His Moon is conjunct Uranus in Gemini.

Browne’s Moon also indicates a perhaps dreadfully unstable mother, maybe even “unhinged”, as one might expect of a tragic concentration camp survivor. Evidently her experiences during the war affected her ability to nurture, making a traditional male/female relationship unpleasing to her son.

If there’s a lot of Gemini, Leo and Pisces in a chart, it’s possible to lead a double life altogether. Gemini and Pisces are dual signs while Leo in their company promotes melodrama combined with a long run of very excellent acting. Browne has three planets in Leo with his Sun in Pisces trine Uranus in Gemini.

Browne has Venus in Aries opposite Neptune in Libra trine Saturn and Pluto in Leo. This is a powerful desire nature. This man is very loving. He has an exalted love nature (Venus opposite Neptune) but you can also be sure that whatever Lord Browne wants, be it money, sex or the companionship of a particular young escort, he wants it very, very badly (Mars/Saturn/Pluto). This kind of passion can border on obsession and often leaves a person open to extortion if it takes them to a dark place. Some wonder why Chevalier isn’t being charged with extortion.

The chart also reveals Browne’s enlightened green attitude with Sun trine Uranus and his high energy and charisma with nice aspects to Pluto and the Mars/Saturn/Pluto Stellium in Leo that many of that time period have (“Boomers”).

Browne’s South Node in Scorpio can give him the power and tendency to undo himself. It sat there all these years like a time bomb
The Saturn Return timing would indicate that this undoing was for Lord Browne’s higher good. Saturn makes its first Return to its natal position when we are between 28-30 and the second time between 58-60. Lord Browne is 59. His official second Saturn Return began September 2, 2006. Saturn checks up on us at these ages to make sure we are living an authentic life. We can a chance at 30 to opt in and again at 60 if we still aren’t with the program. In some case there are major course corrections at either time and Lord Browne is certainly having one. I write widely about this on my website. Lord Browne is one of many Boomers currently experiencing their Saturn Return. Pluto has also been transiting his natal Jupiter. What has been hidden becomes visible and that is always a very good thing. You could say Edmund John Philip Browne, Baron Browne of Madingley, aka Lord Browne, has been living a lie.

The Universe wants us to be whole and wholly who we are. Lord Browne’s event is tragic by conventional standards, devastating financially and materially, but spiritually it will permit him to lead the final third of is life as a whole and therefore healed person.

Your Saturn Return

For compplete resources on Saturn Return visit www.bemyastrologer.com and browse to your heart's content. After all, Saturn Return is a tough time. You can use all the help (tea and sympathy), resources, understanding and insights you can get.

If you're turning 28-30 right now your Saturn is probably in Virgo.

Jawaharlal Nehru had Saturn in Virgo

Jawaharlal Nehru, political head of India and hero of the Suez Canal crisis. Peace is not a relationship of nations. It is a condition of mind brought about by a serenity of soul. Peace is not merely the absence of war. It is also a state of mind. Lasting peace can come only to peaceful people.

Here is the quintessential wisdom of Virgo.

Facts are facts and will not disappear on account of your likes.

Earth sign practicality.

A leader or a man of action in a crisis almost always acts subconsciously and then thinks of the reasons for his action.

Citizenship consists in the service of the country.

Every little thing counts in a crisis.

Unique ability to focus on the smallest of thing during the biggest of events.

The art of a people is a true mirror to their minds.

This is a profound statement that reflects Virgo's ability to deal with the inner/outer, body/soul aspects of our nature.

What we really are matters more than what other people think of us.

This is a profound Virgo statement having to do with integrity. There is also the ability to ignore the unessential things in this world.

Victor Hugo had Saturn in Virgo

Victor Hugo, a French writer, had a profound influence on later writers such as Albert Camus, Charles Dickens and Fyodor Dostoevsky. He is perhaps best known for his masterpiece, Les Miserables, finally published in 1862), a tale of suffering, triumph and redemption and recently updated for Broadway.

Quotable Quotes: A man is not idle because he is absorbed in thought. There is a visible labor and there is an invisible labor.

Work is the law of life, and to reject it as boredom is to submit to it as torment.

Virgo excels at understanding everything about work and thinking! The refinement of the Virgo mind is legendary.

He who every morning plans the transaction of the day and follows out that plan, carries a thread that will guide him through the maze of the most busy life. But where no plan is laid, where the disposal of time is surrendered merely to the chance of incidence, chaos will soon reign.

Virgo is able to focus and concentrate, following through on the details.

The quantity of civilization is measured by the quality of imagination.

No one has a better grip on the power of the imagination, properly channeled.

There are no trifles in the human story, no trifling leaves on the tree.
from Les Miserables

This is a very representative statement. Virgo minds the details of everything and reminds us to do the same.

If suffer we must, let's suffer on the heights.
from 'Les Malheureux'

Here is the understanding of redemptive suffering. In fact, that's the theme of this masterpiece (Jean Valjean).

To be a saint is the exception; to be upright is the rule. Err, falter, sin, but be upright. To commit the least possible sin is the law for man. Sin is a gravitation.

There will always be mention of saints or sinners.

Where the telescope ends the microscope begins, and who can say which has the wider vision?
Les Miserables

This is a quintessential Virgo statement.

Do you know what friendship is... it is to be brother and sister; two souls which touch without mingling, two fingers on one hand.

Virgo is the believer in twin souls and souls at all for that matter.

Stephen King Has Saturn in Leo, Learn More ...

Stephen King 18 degrees - born September 21, 1947.

One of the best selling authors of all time and definitely the world's greatest horror story writer, Stephen King wrote The Shining at his first Saturn Return. The movie was made in 1978. King confesses in On Writing that he had problems with alcohol at the time he was writing The Shining, and he also developed a drug addiction in the 80s. In June 1999 King was struck by a van and seriously injured. King dis'd Kubrick's version of The Shining and put out his own miniseries later. His work has been described as "dramatically attenuated and thin on emotional substance, showing poor self esteem and easily threatened masculinity".

King's father deserted the family when he was three years old. He submitted his first story for publication when he was 13. His first novel, Carrie (1974), was a tale of a girl with telekinetic powers. King had thrown the first pages of the story in a garbage pail, but his wife rescued them and urged him to finish the work.

Danse Macabre, 1989, on writing: " It's not a dance of death at all, not really. There is a third lever here, as well. It is, at bottom, a dance of dreams. It's a way of awakening the child inside, who never dies but only sleeps ever more deeply. If the horror story is rehearsal for death, then its strict moralities make it also a reaffirmation of life and good will and simple imagination - just one more pipeline to the infinite."

For a real shot at the Saturn in Leo "World" ... the following comment was found on a King website after his accident: It has not escaped the collective attention of King faithful that the author's grisly weekend mishap sounds eerily familiar. As in Christine, Cujo and Misery familiar. King was struck by an out-of-control vehicle (like in Christine?) driven by a motorist who apparently had been distracted by a dog (as in Cujo?) Moreover, the impact of the crash threw King off the road--making him, temporarily at least, a stranded, hobbled writer (like Paul Sheldon in Misery?

"Misery? Cujo?/Which book is he living out?/Blame it on the dog...," a haiku-minded Netizen ponders on an Internet newsgroup (alt.talk.bizarre).

This is a biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig problem for the Saturn in Leo crowd -- what's the line between fiction and reality? Yes, we are poor players that strut and fret our hour upon the stage, but who's the director? What's the difference between drama and melodrama? And what if we create from a destructive place?

At the end of On Writing, King talks of taking an afternoon stroll along the side of a country road, being hit by an out-of-control van, then waking up feeling like a character in one of his novels: "I’m lying in the ditch and there’s blood all over my face and my right leg hurts. I look down and see something I don’t like: my lap now appears to be on sideways, as if my whole lower body had been wrenched half a turn to the right.

I’m an alcoholic, I thought, and there was no dissenting opinion from inside my head—I was, after all, the guy who had written The Shining without even realizing…that I was writing about myself.

After all, as he writes, Writing fiction, especially a long work of fiction, can be a difficult, lonely job; it’s like crossing the Atlantic Ocean in a bathtub. There’s plenty of opportunity for self-doubt.

One day in the dentist's waiting room, I could swear I read an article about King's father being a manic depressive but I have not been able to corroborate that on the web to date.
Where is this man coming from, chart here ^^^

GREAT SATURN IN LEO QUOTES:

Each life makes its own imitation of immortality.

Fiction is the truth inside the lie.

Nobody was really surprised when it happened, not really, not on the subconscious level where savage things grow.

People think that I must be a very strange person. This is not correct. I have the heart of a small boy. It is in a glass jar on my desk.

Talent in cheaper than table salt. What separates the talented individual from the successful one is a lot of hard work.

When his life was ruined, his family killed, his farm destroyed, Job knelt down on the ground and yelled up to the heavens, "Why god? Why me?" and the thundering voice of God answered, "There's just something about you that pisses me off.

You couldn't get hold of the things you'd done and turn them right again. Such a power might be given to the gods, but it was not given to women and men, and that was probably a good thing. Had it been otherwise, people would probably die of old age still trying to rewrite their teens.

Arnold Toynbee had Saturn in Leo

Arnold Toynbee - born April 14, 1889.

Toynbee was educated at Oxford University in England. He served the British Foreign Office during World War I and World War II. At the time of his first Saturn Return, he was a delegate to the Paris Peace Conference. He was a professor of Greek language and history at the University of London and later director of studies at the Royal Institute of International Affairs for thirty years.

At his Second SR, Toynbee was publishing his great work A Study of History, which explored the rise and fall of civilizations. The main thesis of the work, according to www.encyclopedia.com , is that "the well-being of a civilization depends on its ability to respond successfully to challenges human and environmental. He got very close to making his third Saturn Return. He died at 86.

GREAT SATURN IN LEO QUOTES:

Apathy can be overcome by enthusiasm, and enthusiasm can only be aroused by two things: first, an ideal, with takes the imagination by storm, and second, a definite intelligible plan for carrying that ideal into practice.

As human beings, we are endowed with freedom of choice, and we cannot shuffle off our responsibility upon the shoulders of God or nature. We must shoulder it ourselves. It is our responsibility.

History is a vision of God's creation on the move.

Civilizations die from suicide, not by murder.

It is a paradoxical but profoundly true and important principle of life that the most likely way to reach a goal is to be aiming not at that goal itself but at some more ambitious goal beyond it.
The supreme accomplishment is to blur the line between work and play.

To be able to fill leisure intelligently is the last product of civilization.

We have been God-like in our planned breeding of our domesticated plants and animals, but we have been rabbit-like in our unplanned breeding of ourselves.

Angelina Jolie's Saturn Return

This video shows how much Angelina Jolie grew during the time of her Saturn Return. When she starred in Mr. and Mrs. SMith her whole life started to rock but maybe it was Maddox and her love for Maddox that really set the stage.

The amount of transformation Angelina went through during her Saturn Return is not atypical.

Be prepared for your first or second Saturn Return. Get a good reading from the Saturn Return expert: nancy@bemyguide.net

You know what else I really love about Angelina Jolie? She CARRIES HER OWN KIDS. Yes, imagine. In this day and age, she doesn't shove them in a big stroller and push it with one hand while holding her cell phone in the other.

With her Saturn in Cancer, Jolie will make an outstanding mother and show the way to many others.

Saturn Return Success Story

Questions about Saturn Return seem to assume the worst -- that the Saturn Return will be grueling and disruptive -- but that is hardly the case. On the contrary, the first Saturn Return brings appropriate adjustments which in many cases can seem like a dream come true. Many people really find their stride and field during the first Saturn Return. You can't help but notice this if you read biographies of famous people or look at the lives of your parents and friends.

The difference Saturn makes here is that, unlike the outer planets, what Saturn gives you have earned and can keep.

Right from the horse's mouth, here is feedback from a young woman with Saturn in Leo in the fifth house who just completed her first Saturn Return. She had a reading from me about a year ago in anticipation of this.

These are her own words. At her request, I deleted some specifics to protect her anonymity. We both thought her story would be inspiring and insttructive.

"Dear Nancy,

"How are you? Hope that you are doing well. I don't know if you remember me, but you did a natal reading for me around this time last year. [Of course I remembered her!!]

Well, I had my official first Saturn Return last year in the month of August, and I can't tell you how much my life has changed since September 2006. My natal Saturn (I'm sure you can see if you still have my chart in your files.) is at 16 degrees Leo in the Fifth House, and Capricorn rules my Eleventh House. So for the past 29 years, I've been royally screwed when it came to having fun, romance, and friends.

"Since September 2006, I finally got a new position as a full-time associate at a fabulous tax law firm in the XXX Financial district. The pay is great. The people are even better. My boss is a lovable old, down-to-earth dear.
"For this job, I had to re-learn how to drive, (I hadn't driven since I was 16 and was always afraid to) and now I can drive confidently on my own.

"I started an LLM tax program at the local law school, courtesy of my firm (something that I've always wanted to do, and now someone is help paying for it).

"I got access to a car (something I never could afford) thanks to [a city program].

"I started taking my first ballroom dancing lessons (something I've always dreamed of doing).

"Over the past 7-8 months, I've amassed a lovely circle of friends, (which I've never had in my entire life) enough to invite about 20 of them over for my first New Year's dinner party. I threw another dinner party this past weekend, and had a nice time.

"And if that's not enough, I'm taking steps to start FLYING lessons (yes, little planes that could) under the great planetary alignments this month. I can't believe that 7 months ago, I was terrified of driving!!!!

"Is this all Saturn's return rewards at work? Anyway, I just wanted you to know my Saturn Return story, which of course, is still continuing. Do these good things keep coming after 30?

"God bless, SD"

It also depends on your relationship to change. SD is an Aries with Aries South Moon Node and she loves these new starts!

Just count the rewards that Saturn brought! Dream job, conquering fears about driving, great new friends, hobbies and a renewed sense of self confidence!
To answer SD's question, yes this is Saturn Return bringing this whole new way of life. In this case, it is things she's always wanted.

The three outer planets, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto, bring changes that can be drastic and unpredictable. Uranus makes adjustments to a greater reality, not always to our liking. Neptune never keeps its promises. Pluto ends some stage of our evolution and begins another, usually in a way that doesn't make sense until later.

Much later it might seem like the best thing that could ever have happened.

Saturn on the other hand, if it brings rewards, brings them on the basis that you have earned them and we know what we earn we can keep! That's one of the laws of the universe.

Let me hear from you about your Saturn Return Success Story so I can publish it to inspire others. Send your comments to: nancy@bemyguide.net .

Let's Learn about Saturn Return

Saturn Return is like asking you to clean out your garage, or your closet. As intense as it can be, it removes all the built-up clutter in your life to reveal a more authentic path and a more authentic you. Sometimes people leave your life, sometimes through death, sometimes through choice.

If you do a thorough job during your first Saturn Return, between the ages of 28 and 30, the rest of your life will be better and your second Saturn Return will be easier. If you fail to rise to the task at 28-30, your second Saturn Return, ages 58-60, when you are more deeply entrenched in an inauthentic life, may be difficult indeed. This is one of the reasons many people die betwen 58 and 60. They may not have met the challenges of the first Saturn Return and at the time of the second, the stress is overwhelming. One of the reasons I'm writing these articles is that, unforuntately, both of my parents died during their second Saturn Returns.

For Those with Saturn in Cancer

Sheltering Heart

I love the sheltering heart

the sky-wide soul

that makes sure the child in line isn't overlooked,

that sees the turn signal and let's you in,

or notices someone staring into a handful of change and says

"Can I help? It's no trouble."

The heart that grabs your hand,

looks you straight in the eye and says,

"Look at me. I can see you are hurting.

We have to talk.

"Then holds all your convoluted ramblings,

your emotional injuries, like they're tangled necklaces

of rubies and pearls,

sorts them patiently,

and smilingly places them all around your necklike you're the princesswith a silly, wet kiss.

The heart that, in a crowded foyer,

isn't rushing for the door,

but scanning the crowd for tiny people,

pregnant women, the wispy elder with a cane,

and not afraid to say loudly,"

Easy does it, watch out for your neighbor."

The heart that like a big umbrella,

sits through endless, boring community meetings,

to be able to say,

"Is the playground still budgeted in?

Can we plant some trees near those benches?

Put a light and a phone booth near that bus stop?

A recycle bin near the picnic tables?

"Looking out for everyone.

A sensitive heart

that asks one last time,

"Are you sure you fed the dog?

Do you need anything from the store?

Would you like the last brownie?"

I love the sheltering heart,

whose peace increases with giving

which feels everyone's unspoken needs

fine-tuning the instrument of true living.
Ah, do I love the sheltering heart.

How Saturn Return Looks in Real Lives of Famous People

The Saturn Return occurs between the ages of 28 and 30. It marks the official end of childhood and "past lives" - the two are similar psychically and even psychologically. Perhaps you could say that when we come into this lifetime, we re-create the conditions of our past lives, be they "good" or "bad" which carry us through to the age of 30. After that, we're on our own! Officially into the new lifetime, through a "difficult birth" at the Saturn Return, now we create from our own life force. The Universe asks us to discover (actually "remember" would be a better word) what it was we came here to do and get on with it.

If you're in the habit of listening to people older than you, you may have noticed what dramatic changes people make in their lives at around 30. I can't think of anything more valuable for young people in their 30s and 40s than to read biographies of famous people as well. Here you will learn that no life is without difficulty and that many overcome hardship to succeed. Biographies are some of the most inspiring things you can read.

On a personal note, at times when I have most needed inspiration, I found greater inspiration in reading biographies than even in meditation ... it is as though the biographies are the answer to my prayer as I choose the ones that seem to be so pertinent to the issue I am struggling with.

Here are some examples of significant things people did at their Saturn Returns -- taken from the lives of many different people in different times and places so you can see how universal this principle is:

  • A 29 YEAR OLD WOMAN who had married an abusive man when she was just 17 finally found the courage to leave him. She took her three kids to another state to live with a nice older man.
  • ANOTHER MAN ended his career as a successful rock concert promoter (in the 70s), married, had a kid and began to sell real estate for a living - unfortunately he hadn't saved any of the money he made during the wild days!
  • ECKART TOLLE, author of "The Power of Now" had a conversion experience at 30 and began his life as a spiritual teacher.
  • VETERINARIAN has painful childhood including undiagnosed spina bifida and undiagnosed ruptured appendix. Both conditions are corrected and at thirty, he enters a period of twenty years without health problems and says he never felt good before he was thirty.
  • GWYNETH PALTROW'S father died just as she was starting work on the film about Sylvia Plath's life and suicide. After, she decided to take at least a year off, saying, 'I worked so much in my 20s, and I really burned the candle at both ends and I wasn't too picky about what I did,'she said. 'I think the combination of losing my father, turning 30, taking a year off has completely shifted everything.'" She has recently announced that she is going to be a mother.

I need to be alone. I am tired of grandeur; all my feelings have dried up. I no longer care about my glory. At twenty-nine I have exhausted everything."

[footnote about love, 16 years later ...]: Josephine caught a cold in mid-May 1814, and despite a doctor's care she grew steadily worse. She died on May 29, in the arms of her son Eugene. Napoleon learned of her death via a French journal while in exile on Elba, and stayed locked in his room for two days, refusing to see anyone. Throughout her life Josephine had surrounded herself with the sight and scent of violets. Two days after his return from exile on Elba Napoleon visited Malmaison and collected violets from Josephine's garden. He would wear them in a locket until his death, a reminder of their tumultuous love. [website by Philip Bloom]

Saturn Return Expert

Why do I specialize in Saturn Return readings? Two reasons but first let's get clear on what the Saturn Return is.

The first time Saturn returns by transit to where it was natally in your chart you're about 30 years old. Saturn is asking you to grow up, leave your parents for real, and get an authentic life.

The second time Saturn returns you're about 60 years old. You;re being asked to review the past 30 years for authenticity and meaning.

The reason I became a specialist is that my first Saturn Return was so horrible, I wanted to reach out to others going through such a difficult transition. At the time I couldn't fathom why the world as I knew it was coming to an end. Suffering is one thing but blind suffering is another thing entirely.

The second reason was that both my parents died at their second Saturn Return. I wanted to understand why. I also wanted to avoid the same thing happening to me at around 60.
